Leros
Arrived and was greeted by umpteen people waving cards with ACCOMMODATION on them. Selected one and quizzed her on it's exact location, whether it's got aircon, ensuite etc. I'm getting quite good but the problem is that you've got to make your mind up pretty quickly. Anyhow its €25 again and not bad. Furnishings have seen better days but it's got a mini kitchen which I may use because I'm a bit fed up with eating out.
Also got it's own balcony which is nice and shaded.
I'm slightly worried by the mosquito netting, hope the place isn't swarming with blood sucking insects.

The highest point on Kalymnos
Next I climbed 678m to this church at the top of the highest place on the island. Then down the other side.

Observe the monstrosity of a concrete visitor's centre, which is currently closed and appears to have been closed for a considerable time.

Chora Castle
Been up to the fortified town within Chora Castle first today. Pretty amazing there's an entire town with three story houses. It'a been built up there as protection against pirates.

Kefala's cave
After walking for several miles across a rocky hillside dotted with prickly bushes I eventually discovered the elusive cave. To say that I was unimpressed is an understatement. I'm not sure that technically it actually qualifies as a cave. Furthermore it was full of goats and has been for the last 1,000 years so it stinks.
UPDATE I've just spoken to the old man who told me about the cave. It seems that I've been to the wrong one. He laughed when I showed him my photos, I don't know how I missed it though.
The sponge diver's museum
A very interesting museum full of sponge diving paraphernalia and stuff that they found on the seabed including all sorts of amphora, bits of German aircraft and of course about a million sponges.
Free bus ride
I was walking along the road to find the spectacular Kefala's cave when a bus stopped and the driver said 'you want beach', well I knew that the cave is near a beach, so I hopped on, offered the driver some money which he refused and we set off. After a little while it dawned on me that there are two beaches that he might be referring to. I am now further away than I was before. However I've got a very nice iced frappe, a bottle of water and free wifi for €1.5

Kalymnos Archeological Museum
Went to the museum and was amazed to find that it was open! I spent over an hour in there, it's the best museum that I've ever seen, some of the exhibits are just spectacular, and made even more interesting because they've dug them up locally.
Dodecanese Pride
This is the catamaran that I've sailed on. I've zoomed in a lot which is why it's a bit fuzzy.
