The evening meal

I've had a gyros which consists of a pitta bread and meat, in this case what appeared to be bacon. These gyros are being offered everywhere, I've never noticed them before, I wonder if they are of Turkish origin since these islands are right next to Turkey and the turkeys have invaded them in the past. Also asked for a Mythos and got this enormous glass. I don't know how much is in it but I expect I shall manage to finish it.

Street seller

Street seller with the latest squidgy balls. He throws them at the board where they flatten out and then quickly regain their original shape. They are selling them everywhere.

Tingaki beach

Tingaki high street

I've walked up and down twice but I can't find our apartment.  I think they must have built something in front of it. There's a hotel where I thought that it was and I wonder if that's it and they've stuck a whole new facade in front.

That beautiful pool

Do you remember that beautiful pool of blue water and silver sand with turtles and ducks that we saw when we were here 15 years ago? Well here it is now. It's gone the colour of Acker's pit and is clogged with algae.
I got a lift from Kos to Tingaki with a liquor delivery man who has stopped twice to hand €50 notes to people and then in the middle of nowhere to load some boxes of beer into his van. I think there is something dodgy going on. He was a very nice 33 year old lad who was very interested in my satnav and wifi finding apps.

My accommodation

I got off the boat and was walking into the town when an old man pulled up on a scooter and asked if I wanted a room. Next thing I was on the back weaving through traffic to his daughter's b&b. The scooter was a 25 year old Vespa that he had since new. The room is not exactly the Savoy but it'll do.
